Join artist and biological illustrator Xavier Moss at the Orlando Museum of Art to explore the wild side of one of the world’s most familiar scenes: the Nativity. Which animals actually appear in the biblical accounts? Which wandered into the manger centuries later through art and tradition? And what might have really been crawling, flying, grazing, and growing around ancient Bethlehem? Explore how animals and nature became woven into the widely-seen picture of Christmas, then create your own nature-inspired Nativity artwork—reimagining the familiar scene as a living
